Artist-Mary Reilly
"A Professional with a Commitment to Excellence."
Mary Reilly, a full time professional artist, has been painting in Oils since 1974. Born and raised in New Jersey, she moved to Virginia in 1986 with her husband and two daughters. In 1991 she opened Creative Brush Studio, in Historic Old Town Manassas. Creative Brush Studio is Mary's working studio and display gallery for her completed works as well as works by others.
Bringing a sense of mood and emotion into her art, Mary's style of "soft-focused realism" encompasses a range suitable for the realism of her traditional portraiture to the looseness of her more impressionistic pieces.
Mary has been featured in the magazines Northern Virginia Magazine, The Piedmont Virginian, Prince William Living and the Piedmont Business Journal. In the October 2011 issue of the Piedmont Business Journal, Mary was highlighted as one of the "25 Women to Watch" in the feature article on Women in Busines.
Oil paintings and Portraiture by Mary Reilly are in public and private collections both in the United States and abroad, including such prestigious places as The United States Court of Veterans Appeals, Washington D.C.; the University of Virginia, Charlottesville VA., and the United States Naval Vessel the USS Gravely (DDG107).
A painting by Mary Reilly transcends the ordinary, and it becomes something to be treasured and passed down from one generation to the next.
