Oil Instruction

Classes meet 1.5 hours a week for six weeks.
At the end of each class, there is additional review time.
Class instruction is open to ages 14 thru adult, and beginner through advance.

WEDNESDAYS
10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

THURSDAYS
10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.



Oil Class Fees

The cost is $140 for a 6 week session.
Supplies are additional and purchased by the student.
A supply list will be given upon signing up for class.

Oil Class Overview

Mary's oil instruction is intended to provide the techniques and knowledge necessary to become proficient in the use of Oil Paint as an art medium.

Each student works on their own painting at their own pace, and receives individualized attention and instruction.

Identifying a student's artistic strengths and weaknesses and addressing them accordingly will be one of the main goals of class.

An additional class objective includes providing a working knowledge of the elements and principles of design, with an emphasis on good composition.

Students will be encouraged to explore a variety of subject matter with paintings created from both photographs and life.

Although portraiture will be available for the students who have developed basic skills and knowledge, it should be noted that the oil instruction at Creative Brush Studio is not intended for those seeking portrait instruction only.
