This portrait of Admiral Gravely was officially unveiled at a reception in Wilmington NC on Nov. 19, 2010 the evening before the Commissioning Ceremony of the USS Gravely on Nov.20, 2010. It was painted to be hung on the U.S. Naval guided missile destroyer the USS Gravely, which was named in Admiral Gravely's honor. |
